Abstract

The purpose of this research was the methodological pathology of research in the field of educational sciences from the point of view of experts. This research was conducted in a qualitative paradigm. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, in which the study subjects were selected in a targeted manner and according to the principle of sampling with maximum diversity. In order to analyze the data obtained from the interviews, the method of inductive analysis and continuous comparison of data with the approach of data base theory was used. The findings of the research showed that the damages in the research methodology can be investigated in three categories: education, human factors and method. The damage in the field of education is one of the most important ones, which is the result of the gap between education and research. Higher education centers not being research-oriented, lack of efficient monitoring of research activities, lack of access to comprehensive and up-to-date resources and information base, and lack of interaction between members in an educational center are among these harms. are Another category of damage in research methodology comes from the inability of the researcher and some professors, the inability of the researcher is the result of the researcher's lack of thinking and the lack of broad understanding, and the inability of some professors is the result of the lack of nobility. They are based on research methods. The lack of recognition of epistemological hierarchy, the damage caused by the dominance of a research paradigm and the weakness of the quantitative method are among the damages in the research methodology.
