Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify and analyze the internal and external factors affecting hybrid education in secondary school teachers in Lorestan Province using the SWOT analytical model. This qualitative research was conducted with an applied and exploratory approach. The statistical population included 36 experts and specialists in the fields of educational sciences and psychology from universities in Lorestan Province, who collaborated with a purposive sampling method based on theoretical saturation of 14 people to conduct semi-structured interviews. The data obtained from the interviews were coded and categorized using the qualitative content analysis method. The validity of the qualitative interviews was also examined using the method of review by research members, peer review, research participation, and Kendall's agreement coefficient with a value of (0.759), which confirmed the desirable validity of the interviews. At the end of the Delphi method and the categorization of the indicators, 19 indicators were extracted for strengths, 19 weaknesses, 10 opportunities, and 10 threats and used to design the SWOT model. The designed SWOT matrix showed that hybrid education requires simultaneous intervention in strengthening strengths and opportunities and reducing weaknesses and threats. The present study, by presenting a comprehensive model based on SWOT analysis, showed that hybrid education requires simultaneous attention to internal and external components, and the application of this model can provide an effective strategy for blended education in the educational system of Lorestan province.
