Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the effectiveness of education based on the CORE method on students' academic engagement in the course of experimental sciences. The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population included all male students in the sixth grade of elementary school in Romeshkan city. From the statistical population, 30 students were selected by convenience sampling method and assigned to two experimental (15 people) and control (15 people) groups. The experimental group underwent blind training during 8 sessions of 45 minutes. In order to collect data, the Rio Academic Engagement Questionnaire (2013) was used. ANCOVA's one-variable analysis of covariance was used to analyze the data. The results showed that blind education has a significant effect on increasing students' academic engagement in the experimental sciences course. Therefore, in addition to the common educational methods, the blind method can be used to improve learning and make learners interested in education.
