Explaining the educational goals of the family system based on the pathology of the existing situation for use in educational designs

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the existing situation of the family institution as the main guardian of education in such a way that, based on this pathology, the priority educational goals to include them in educational designs in the formal and informal education system of the country will be determined. In this research, using the qualitative content analysis method, an in-depth interview was conducted with 18 experts and competent people, including family counselors, judges, faculty members, and religious experts, with the criterion of selecting a targeted sample and theoretical saturation technique. Finally, the findings of the research indicate that educational goals were classified in three cognitive, moral, and practical dimensions in 35 concepts, and parents' actions to follow those educational goals were classified in three basic, environmental, and internal dimensions in 21 concepts. The findings of this study can be used as a basis for field studies, formulation and implementation of educational programs, and it can also be a basis for producers of cultural goods to focus on the categories mentioned in it in order to strengthen the family foundation.
