Abstract

Abstract
The present research is carried out to investigate the effect of Pedagogical approach of philosophy for children on the 1st grade elementary students in education of Science course. Two schools were selected through random sampling and 1st grade students of both were determined to be experimental and control groups respectively. Pre-test was initially performed for both groups and as the control group continued their routine school activities in the absence of any special training, the experimental group was trained for two months-two sessions during every week. The training course was performed through Lippman's "Philosophy for Children" (1970) and then the post test was conducted for both groups. The research tool was a researcherـ made test of science course. It was found out that the pedagogical approach of philosophy for children has positively affected on the Learning of students in Science course. It was found that the experimental group had a significant difference in preـ test and postـtest scores compared to the control group and teaching science course through the philosophy for children program with increase student learning. The pedagogical approach of philosophy for children is advisable to be implemented in the Science course as a teaching method.
